Re: Smevs Bikes - Past and Present!
Just a little update - I have been sorting the decals for the new paint scheme which was mentioned in the PS mag feature!
Mister Donut - is the scheme I am replicating - Its not that common a scheme and I've not seen it on any NC30's before.
While looking in MCN classifieds this week I noticed that they have the Horipro Rep NC30 in there for sale - I know this is probably the only one that has been done on an NC30, but I didn't want to copy someone elses work!
Anyway, most of the decals are on their way to me now - I just have to sort out the main large graphic for the side. Once I get them all together they'll be ready to go on the panels.
However the panels aren't yet ready! I'm still in the process of prepairing them, sorting any cracks or broken lugs along the way. I have just got a lower and top fairing to go. So I'm getting there. The top fairing does seem to have the most damage though.
I'm glad I'm making progress on this again now - I kinda reached a point where it seemed so far off, but with a bit of effort it will be done.

Re: Smevs Bikes - Past and Present!
I was going to use my Grandad to do all the graphics, however all the panels are up here in Hampshire which I needed to measure.
So I've used ebay for the common decals, like snap-on, d.i.d. , etc and I'm approaching a few local companies for the one off larger decals.
Some from ebay arrived today and are great quality.

Re: Smevs Bikes - Past and Present!
Brooky has replied - and I've sent him details of the decals I require. Fingers crossed he comes back with something good!!!
A few parts ordered too - a screen from Gavin at Jap4Performance, indicators for the front, screen screw kit, and a few little bits and bobs.
The bike is now semi clothed, as I prepare for the Odiham Trackday on Sunday ( I think its gonna rain
)
I have also trial fitted a few bits for when the new paint scheme is done
Talking of which, I have been repairing the top fairing using plastex. I've also taken pics along the way to show how easy it is to use. A big thumbs up from me, and I'll definately use it again.
Off to the garage now to finish putting the Track fairing on.
