There customer service isnt all to brilliant however tyres are cheap.

I got the rear fitted and balanced for £120 he cleaned the inside up too (said the tyre wouldn't seal properly otherwise.) nice shop, decent bloke, prefer to support local business and get it fitted for the sake of £20

Its worth noting their T&C's regarding the DOT of the tyres, they claim to provide tyres under 12 months old but offer the option to return at their cost should the tyre be older or offer a part refund based on the age of the tyre. Oponeo's customer service is not too bad. I ordered a pair of tyres last month and only one turned up. I emailed them and they called me back straight away, it turned out that one got lost in transit. They sent out a replacement which arrived two days later.
Although I believe it's a Polish site, the two lads I spoke to in CS were German and the tyres were shipped from France.

Well, so far the Rosso IIs haven't scared the snot out of me. Done several hundred miles on them now, so I'm starting to get some confidence in them. Very nice progressive steering, even with my rather in need of fettling suspension!

Not sure if it is common knowledge that there is an alternative to the Bridgestone 18" hoops, or even if these are available in UK or rest of world. I am considering a set of these in 150 or 160/60R17 rear for my RVF, approx $450 AUD for the set, fitted.

It seems after having a look at the Dunlop catalogue, they also have another alternative to the Alphas.
Dunlop SportMax GPR-200 Front: 120/60ZR17
Dunlop SportMax GPR-200 Rear: 150/60HR18
SportMax I presume are sport touring tyres though...so I assume they would have a harder compound. Might be an option for long distance commuters.
According to the Japanese Bridgestone website, they also have a few tyres to suit NC30 18" rims. The website was linked from the Australian Bridgestone website so I assume one can order them in?
For the front:
Speed rating H
Bridgestone BT003RS Front: 120/60ZR17
Bridgestone BT090 Front: 120/60ZR17
Bridgestone BT092 Front: 120/60ZR17
For speed rating Z, there is a lot to choose from! Refer to this Bridgestone link.
For the rear:
Bridgestone BT090PRO Rear: 150/60R18
Bridgestone BT092 Front: 150/60R18
Bridgestone BT014 Front: 150/60R18
There are more to choose from in the 160/60R18 option, although I did just glance it over and not sure what combination match to front list.
I had a quick look at Metzeler tyres, but no luck there for 18" rim owners, but they do make them for the 17" (150/60R17), called M5.
Not much at Pirelli unfortunately. This is the only ones I could find that fit with bulging rear.
Angel GT - Front: 120/60ZR17
Angel GT - Rear: 160/60 ZR18
Michelin tyres, again, don't have many options either. The only 2 might fit are 120/60ZR17 front and 160/60ZR18 rear, for both Pilot Road 2 and Pilot Road 3.
So for the Aussies out there, 18" tyres are still available, just not a lot of them which is kind of disappointing.
Someone might make a few dollars for some quality 17" rims to suit VFR/RVF!

Continental now do a 150/65/18 rear, went to talk to the bloke this weekend to see about alternatives if Bridgestone soo making compatible tyres

anyone tried the S20's or pilot road 3's? can get the 003rs for $380 but heard they're not the best in the wet.

Relatively new to the NC30 & been running Dunlop GPR tyres it came with on std 18" rear wheel (which have been great BTW).
I am doing 3K mile trip 40% dual c/way & 60% twisty mountain road mix. My gut instinct is to go with a new BT090 as don't want to compromise on grip in the twisties, but having read whole of this thread I am tad unsure as I have no personal experience of this tyre/bike combi. I have the choice of a part worn BT090 currently on a spare wheel [guess at least 60% left], or get a new one.
1. Can someone with experience of this tyre give me a rough idea how many miles a new one is likely to last?
2. I am worrying unecessarily (cos my 1ltr sportsbike eats rears in 2.5k mls - but NC @ 1/3 of power won't do this) or should I be fitting something else like say the 092?

I think most will say BT92 rear with BT090 front but id go for 090's all round and have more fun
