Cheers, not done that many miles on it this year and have thought about selling it. Perhaps i prefer restoring rather than riding or it could be that i have too many toys. I picked up a cbr600fv for £50 a couple of weeks ago,and have been busy getting that back up and running as it had not run for six years. What a bargain, its done less than 10thou miles!
Also been busy with Custom Creams, my little sideline business.

This thread is a cracking read! I missed it first time around but have to say its been the inspiration for my recent rebuild start!

One small question, when you blasted the calipers, did you mask off the piston bores, or is the process gentle enough to do the whole thing?

Cheers, yep its important to mask off those areas, bores and the surfaces where the o rings mate in the middle.

Only just seen this post. Awesome rebuild, bike looks really good. Panels look brilliant after the respray.

So would you fancy sorting my exhaust system out if I sent it across to you? That before and after picture a few posts back almost doesn't look real! I want!

£85 to refurb nc exhausts like the one in the pics. I`ve been doing a few of them recently. Wink wink!

A bit of a thread revive. I have finally finished the restoration! Everything is as how i want it from the original forks restored and refitted and finding a complete toolkitand now buying an original uncut exhaust to get rid of that horible scorpion can! I got the exhaust from pugit666 on here. Superb service from that man. It arrived and i got stuck in with restoring it . It had been fixed in the past with a new set of collars /sleeves welded on. These were ok and would have worked fine ,but they did not look right. So i removed the pipes off the bike and promptly cut it up to use the collar section on the new one. The heel guards needed removing ,then straightening and rewelding .Anyway after a fair few hours of TIG weding etc ,i now have a really nice standard system on my bike. It aint half quiet now!
