It's time to think about paint.
I have repaired and filled all the plastics and am ready to start priming.

I need paint codes and and a template to work to.
Can anyone help?

Is it an SP or an RR, the RR's are either Black (which is fastest) or White and dark metalic red

I haven't used them but
http://www.bikecolours.co.uk/

I've used http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php though pricey if you use aresols

You can find pearl white, bright red and satin black on the web then get the rest done in decals.

I got the barrels back, eventually on Saturday Morning, and the new rings as well.
The sleeves were more of a problem than I thought in that one of the old sleeves would not come out so had to be bored out.
One of the four sleeves, although having the same cat no, was a different size so this needed to be turned down.
The sleeves needed boring and honing but the beauty of having the pistons mean I could get a very good tolerance match on each piston/bore. For the first time I got some good compression figures.
New rings fitted. Engine rebuilt. Started on the button. Small oil leak. Smoking a bit which appears to be lessening but will give it a run today.

All plastic work is ready for painting.

Mang;put up costing for sleeves/liners and supplier please.Bloke in Oz is faced with similar scenerio to what you just encountered on another forum.
Pressing liners out of small alloy blocks is not usual practice/bore out is recommended but commercial enterprises prefer pressing for speed and economy. You will be using a good quality mineral oil for break in before reverting to a semi.?

On a sidenote; in a Micheal Caine "not a lot of people know that" voice;
Bert Monro ( of World's Fastest Indian fame ) turned up his own liners from spun cast iron drainpipes in a garden shed on a Myford.
A red box doth not a Snap On make.

Bert - a big hero of mine. Also cast his own pistons.

The company I bought the sleeves from was called L.A. Sleeve.

The details for the part numbers and prices is at work so I will have to wait until tomorrow to sort it.

Have semi oil in at the moment. Only because it was what I drained out of the bike before I rebuilt it. I haven't run the bike on any load or at any revs as yet. This oil is to be drained and binned today. New oil for run in. Then real oil for fun. God these builds are expensive.

The smoking could be some oil in the bores from the build maybe.
I'm glad it runs !!!

Talk about going the extra mile you've done much more than that on this bike.
