Just got an e-mail back from thevisorshop/crossan and they assured me that Bridgestone were not discontinuing the BT090 and that all their tires in stock are within a year of their date-stamp.

But unbeatable for grip and feedback on road and track IMO.

So a 90 front and 92 rear would be ideal for commuting? I was all set to go shinko then I discovered that http://www.thevisorshop.com/ deliver worldwide and for a price that is not much more than the shinkos.

Got the shinkos (005 front, 006 rear) fitted as the above site don't actually like shipping internationally (too expensive).

Steering is incredibly sharp compared to the old tyres, almost too sharp! The old tyres had been on the bike since I purchased it and were long over due for a change. Should be fun when I take it out on some proper roads.

i did over 100,000 commuting miles on 090 front and 92 rear (plus plenty of fun roads in the summer - good compromise of grip and longevity)

I'm running a BT003 160/60/17 on my NC30 and I can't get any heat in it so I'm looking for something else. I did have the Battlax 160/??/18 on there with the old wheel, and it heated up nicely.

My heads spinning finding something that works good when its in the 70s (21 to 26 celcius). Maybe some some Supercorsa SC's? I got some on my RSV4 and dig them since they give me a little warning on the rare occasion they start to slip. My rear rim is 5.25" wide but I also have a regular NC35 wheel. Thinking of just using that and saving the other tires for when the summer heats up.

Try dropping the pressures in the BT003's, I can't remember the exact pressures but generally they run a few psi lower than bt090's

New pair of Diablo Rosso II fitted today. Slightly concerned at the completely slick shoulder, but then I rarely run that far over, and wouldn't do so in the wet... lol

Turns out the tires were stamped 2009.

After a couple years they start going bad so I just need to put on some fresh rubber.

Hi All,

Proud NC35 owner here, but love the 18" wheel on the back of NC30s... so when I saw this I thought the info might help those NC30 owners who feel they have to fit a 17" wheel so they can run good tyres.

I just downloaded the Dunlop Tyres Australia, Motorcycle Catalogue 2013.

Dunlop SPORTSMART ALPHA α-13 H Front: 120/60R17
Dunlop SPORTSMART ALPHA α-14 H Rear: 150/60R18

Not sure if it is common knowledge that there is an alternative to the Bridgestone 18" hoops, or even if these are available in UK or rest of world. I am considering a set of these in 150 or 160/60R17 rear for my RVF, approx $450 AUD for the set, fitted.
