cheers lads.

shaun
That nut only needs to come off if you wanna change the brake disc or bearings.

the sprocket can be taken off without removing it pal.

what did rick say about recognising the differences?

well that good and bad new then really!?? hmmm, i d like to atleast inspect them but i suppose i could put the wheel back on and cheack for play.....

so rick,

he said the old springs arnt sermetrical all the way down but springs get closer toward the middles..... so wide up top, closer in middle and wide again at bottoms, the new upgrade springs are like normal ones and the gaps are the same all the way down, also, his spacers are aluminium 140mm ones and the old use steal 150mm.

just popped down to my uncles too and had the tyres taken off, he checked both tyres cos the rear had a slow puncher but found it was the valve and he said theres a good couple of thou miles left on them too, so saving pennies for now!! sweet!

graham from jap4 got the nice shiney black billet tyga levers too me too! winner!! they look and feel real nice too. he sent me the new screen and mirrors few weeks back cos the levers wernt in but when i got the levers yesterday he had sent me another set of mirrors and a screen lol i guess the mans busy and forgot he had already, so i need to send those back over weekend to him lol cheers for the levers anyways graham, there spot on!!

well, there s not much more i can do till the wheels are done apart from check and rebuild my forks.....mirrors ,screen, levers and lines etc are easier to do ones she s a rolling bike again.......spose i can do the new sprockets over the weekend and chain. oh, and clean calipers and change my pads over .

bought a solder iron too to just fix up some cracks on the pannels too.....so suppose there s plenty to do really lol. ill get some pics up tonight of how she looks and just eye candy for all you nc30 whores lol

cheers guys!!

well, didnt quite go to plan today....spend half the day in and out up the shops etc to get desired tools for the job. separated as much of the forks as i could but cant split them completely!! little fkers are a b*st*rd to pull apart. ill try again tommorrow , given in for today! im gunna try and tie some weights to the bottom part of the forks them use the hammer slide effect to separate. iv been trying for about an hour with no luck.

didnt even touch the sprockets today either :( lol

found a pipe wrench handy mind to undo the top fork nut, also, are my old 89 model forks adjustable?? i have a screw inside the main top nut which i can turn!?

cheers lads.

oh! and i found out i dont have the rick o upgrade kit fitted , so this week ill be ordering that up too. just to confirm, will i need new dust and oil seals , im guessing yes and ill have to inspect the bushings but is it good messure to replace the lot while its all out!?

cheers
