I actually can't remember what was exactly wrong with it? I think some of the connections are brittle and broken? May have had a fry up at some point before I came along.
I've seen some wiring connection repair kits on eBay for other makes and models.....anyone know if there is anything for the NC29?

I promised some pics of my new shed. It's not overly huge but it's definitely enough for me for now.
There is a separate driveway to this shed which will be brilliant for wheeling the bike out and getting some decent light on her, starting her up and running her without Carbon Monoxide poisoning etc etc. Bonus is an outdoor sink and outdoor toilet! Mancave must-haves.

Ok, so it didn't take long to find out some of the wiring issues....
This is cooked and the wires near the plug are hard and brittle...
This connector is toasted.
Fortunately I have a spare wiring loom to rape and pillage.
The wires appear to be the same colours??

more of a house than a shed, makes mine look like a dog kennel compared to yours.
hope that's the only part of the loom that's seen better days

The reg/rec has no plug on the end...just exposed wires...which would infer that was the cause of the fry-up? Can only but try it out and see what happens I guess? Will just splice a new plug in and already have a new reg/rec in my parts box.
The carb inlet rubbers are annoying me as well. They seem pretty hardened and unforgiving. Guess I'll add that to the wish list.

Have you got a pic, has the previous owner run it without a plug and just somehow connected the wires together as a botch job?

They aren't cheap for oe ones

Never put much thought into it but the bike was raced in it's previous life so maybe they attempted a 'total loss' system? Would that negate the need for the reg/rec? Will post a photo later.

The wires & connectors for the charging system on most Hondas of this age get a pretty tough time. If the wires & connectors are frazzled, it normally points to a failed stator or regulator. A replacement regulator plug can be found on ebay, just search Honda Regulator Plug.
You can buy pattern, Chinese made inlet rubbers off Ebay - I've used them and they are ok.

Have bitten the bullet and purchased a new set of carb inlet rubbers from Japan......
