Yep got the PM Riley - thanks - very simple and obvious really - I have some bar ends which I indend to fit as the stops - very similar to the fork sliders idea.

More work to be carried out tomorrow as I still have a few days leave before returning to work next week.

I popped the faring lowers on this evening and a side panel (just to see how it looks!)

I am impressed even if I say so myself!!!

The polished frame looks great with the carbon infills, and so much more in keeping with the rest of the bike - keeping it standard but just more modern - does that make sense? (keeping the same stock shape but with modern materials like carbon fibre)

I have another update!

Hopefully on Monday there will be a proper motorcycle technician having a look over the bike and sorting out the dash for me - I got to a point where I was pulling my hair out and not knowing how to sort the pick-up for the tacho - one phone call to him and he thinks he can sort it for me - well fingers crossed. He was named as Suzukis technician of the year last year and has loads of experience so should know his stuff! :D

I have also refitted the bodywork just so I could see how it all looks :D :D :D :D :D :D

I just want to get the few little things sorted now and it'll be ready for the road again

Next week during the quiet times at work I hope to make a small bracket for the ignition switch - I have found a place to locate it (used to be fitted throught the fairing infill, but I'm not drilling any holes on the nice new carbon ones!!)

New head lights should be arriving soon too, so the left one will go straight on and I'll keep the right as a spare.

Steering stops just need a length of bar to fit them


I'm getting real excited about the prospect of be able to take it out on the road now - its sooo close!!!

Been tinkering around with the bike this morning and taking more pics of it!

I've managed to sort the front brake microswitch out so thats working now :D

Tidied some wiring up around the headlights so it should be simpler for the tech guy to sort out on Monday!

Cleaned up the inside of the fairings so they'll be all ready to go back on once the tacho is sorted.

Been around the bike checking all bolts are tightened to correct torques - one or two were a little loose!



I love this next pic - shows alot of the trick stuff I have done - Dash, front end -ducati forks, harris clip-ons, radial M/cylinder, Ohlins Damper, Paintjob, Stubby Trak-tech levers, carbon Infills.


Like this one too! Shows all the rest of the bits and bobs I have bought - Rick O rads, Samco hose kit, Technoflex shock, Yamamoto system, Rick O 750 rear wheel Conversion, Rear Hugger, rear sets, HRC brake res, Carbon fibre exhaust hanger, Single seat cowl, Polished Frame, suede seat cover.


After all these were taken I took the front fairing off and seat unit to allow access for the tech guy to sort the wiring for the tacho. I had other thing to do this afternoon like reseed the lawn after the dog has churned it up!! so couldn't do any mor work on the bike! And thats how the bike will be until Monday!

It was so near completion as well - I'm really pissed off.

I had almost finished rebuilding it and decided to just try out the new clocks i had fitted - took the bike up the road - went about 20 metres, i popped the front brake on to slow down and the wheel locked up.

down i went.

No leathers just jeans and t-shirt

I've taken a load of skin off both palms of my hands, my right fore arm and elbow, my knees, my right ankle, my left shoulder,small bruise on my chin and some strange scratches on my stomach too.

Bike now needs loads doing to it again probably 600-700 quids worth

Morale of the story is always wear protective eqpt. even if you are going around the block.
