Re: What did you do with your NC30/35 today?
I think they were advertised as 99-03. When you look at the pictures the riser part appears concave slightly rather than flat. There were two types I looked at on evilbay but got the ones mentioned and they fitted fine. I could use the original bar ends etc. Just had to drill a hole in the right hand bar to take the lug on the controls. I sprayed them up black and they look really good. Not really any higher at the fork end but approx 35mm higher at bar end, just softened the position slightly and much more comfortable. No issues with cable length or fouling. I don't know if anyone else has used any of the other ones with flat risers but these work well for me.

Re: What did you do with your NC30/35 today?
Gone a bit mental in the last weeks worth of ownership:
- Carb clean, adjustment and rejetted to suit the large can. 110's -> 118F/120R. Single biggest improvement Ive seen.
- New sparkplugs (front two cylinders were literally finger tight, blew my mind).
- Closed up airbox holes, replaced air filter.
- Bled brakes
Now waiting on new discs/pads and caliper rebuild kit to arrive.. that should solve the warped rotor problem.
Booked in for a new set of sprockets + chain on Thursday, should sort the gnarly tightspot its currently got.
Have done an oil + filter change tonight, and will repack the muffler when the packing arrives. Should hopefully drop it a few dB.
Amazing what a bit of TLC does...

New discs, pads, caliper piston seals fitted. Nice!
New F/R sprockets and chain, no more tight spot! Nice!
Bikes now running really well, starting to really enjoy it now.
Time to start saving to replace the shabby fairing.

Unfortunately its not much to look at, fairing really rough with some home painted panels. Will leave it as is over the nz summer then look at a new getup for it come winter.
here it is when i first got it and some pics next to the VJ21.

Nice pair there dude..
A friend of mine had an NC30 same colours as yours, lovely scheme. The fairing on mine is far from show standard but it's the wheels that will get the attention first.

Re: What did you do with your NC30/35 today?
I have spent the weekend sat on the sofa, drinking tea watching motogp quali/racing whilst I cleaned up a set of heads that I have off a spare engine with green scouring pads, lapping the valves and cleaning up all the inlets and exhausts with the dremel.
To be fair on Saturday I wasn't really fit for doing anything more complicating than cleaning as I was at a wedding on Friday.

I happened across some gold engine enamel.... front discs are looking sexy (quite a boring story masking the discs and bobbins before painting) :)

How on earth did you manage to find a better NC30 in Melbourne than NSW/QLD? They're rocking horse shit down here.
