Was thinking of that seat unit for mine but what you doing with the front fairings? i couldnt really find anything that matches that looked like it would fit well too.

have you done the subframe mock up from wood before? ive use copper pipe in the past with good results, its easy to make bends etc too with copper

Copper pipe....never thought of that, I was only thinking wood as I want it made out of square section and I'm bound to make mistakes lol.
As for the front I reckon I'll go tyga RCV the angular lines of the nose cone will match nicely with the angles on the tail and tbh it's not that expensive if you don't have all the lights and stuff as well.

So been quite busy the last couple of days, Donington went without a hitch on Thursday although the bike did develope a couple of stutters at high revs but I put that down to dirty carbs as they have not been cleaned for a couple of years lol.

Anyhoo started on the dash on Friday and after a couple of teething issues which I think I now know the issue I went from this...

quite happy as it seems to remember the settings DM put into it so I only have to reset the shift lights and its good to go.

Next up today was tackle the loom, there is a load of road crap on there that i dont want anymore...basically everything except the front brake light circuit so off came the loom and all the tape and went from this..

Made a few modifications so that in the future I will be able to mount the switch I use instead of a key next to the dash and oil light and some bullet conectors so that I can remove the dash easily it was out with the tape and this is what I ended up with



The next job on the list is mock up a subframe to take the new seat unit which I had a bit of a mess around after removing the old subframe and I reckon it will look just awesome...needs to go a bit higher than it is in this pic though.

the only other news is I missed my delivery from Lings today which has all the stuff I need (crank shells etc) to get the bottom half of the new motor built so hopefully that will be next up.

The seat unit works well, interested to see how it goes with the fairings you got planned. errrr whats with the rubber gloves

I reckon it just doesn't like being switched on and off in quick succession.

The rubber gloves lol they are window fitters gloves just kinda handy when you only have a few mins down the shed and don't want to get crappy hands lol.

This morning I have been mostly retro fitting this.





Now I know it's not to everyone's taste but I've always liked it since Tyga released it for the NC30, I think the seat and bodywork go together in a very moto2 style.

The only issue I have come accross is the bloody radiator is waaaayyyyyyy to wide to fit under the side panels so it looks like I will have to go back to standard for a bit until I cam get hold of a pair of nc30 rads to see if the will fit....none of this would be an issue if I could get hold of a HRC system dammit!!

I reckon the seat cowl looks way better than my cbr600 jobbie. Any pics of the bike from behind?

No mate can't squeeze in lol.

Got a lot to do to get all of this to fit perfectly the tyga stuff will need a lot of sanding where the side panels meet the nosecone.
The seat unit will be loads less hassle it's just mock up a subframe really then get it copied the only mods to the seat itself will be very minor.

I have the hrc lower rad from the 92 hrc kit it works with the standard rad. I could get measurements and you could get it copied if you wanted
