Yep the caps should be TI, your cans look more kevlar than carbon or is that just the camera?
So you didnt get stung for import tax then?

Thats good then, I think the cans are carbon, but need a resleeve, as they've gone slightly olive green

Fairly sure they aren't Kevlar, otherwise I think I'd have you battering my door down for them

No import tax, or fee from parcelforce to pay

all taken care of for me

The guy who sorted it for me in Japan is a top bloke, kept me informed and gave tips on cleaning the exhaust and even chucked in some melamine sponge for free :D
Weighed the pipework a couple of minutes ago, this is without the springs, front down pipes, rear manifold or cans.
Front/Right hand side exit cylinders - 1 piece, weighs 500g
Rear/Left hand side exit cylinders - 2 pieces, first part from the manifold (with the pipes to manifold plate) 700g. Second part starts roughly where the stock final Y piece is, weighs 400g
Total weight for pipework - 1.6kg
I'll weight the cans up tomorrow, and see how it compares to a stock system, hopefully it'll be lighter, but if not it will make up for it by being totally bloody epic!

Got the old system of, what a feckin ball ache that was! Some nobber 'mechanic' thought that it would be a fantstic idea to weld the front left down pipe to the rear section. I wouldn't be half as annoyed if it was atleast decent welding, but it's crap, really scruffy and has quite a few holes to go with it aswell.
Anyway, I busted out the grinder with a 1mm cutting disc and cut as far as I could, leaving a section on roughly 3-4mm long, twisted the system to move the pipes out of the way so the blade could go most of the way through, then chiselled the last whisker of metal off and the whole lot came away. Started fitting the pipes, the rear section has gone on fine, just need new manifold gaskets and some new nylock nuts and that'll be sorted, the front pipes are proving a problem, I think I need to trim the very ends down so the rest slips on a little further so the can doesn't hit the indicator :)
After that it's getting a new throttle cable and some new jets, and it'll be ready for the MOT :) No pics atm as my phone has decided I'm no longer allowed to use the camera

Got the jets, gaskets and stainless allen screws ordered from Rick O, can't wait for them to arrive :D
Still jiggling the system about to get the cans to sit low and far back enough, getting there though

My mate has found a box with my name on it at work, which I'm sure contains my jack up link, only been waiting 6 weeks for it

Seeing as mine hadn't arrived I decided to look for another on ebay, and was watching one today, I paid £25 plus £6 for post, this one went for £48 and £7 post, definately got a bargain there!
I have a set of UK clocks, anyone know if they just bolt onto a Jap bike, or do I need to mess about with wiring? Also does anyone have a close up picture of an RC30 swingarm without the wheel fitted showing the brake linkage? I saw on wikipedia that the NC can be fitted with the RC Pro Squat linkage instead of the standard torque reaction arm, I want to see how easy it would be to fabricate a replica linkage and make it all work :) Would be interesting to have something trick like that if it doesn't cost too much

Well, neither are any further on atm, due to parts fuck ups
NC30 needs a new throttle opening cable, went on ebay, saw one for £8.99, thought bingo, checked it was the right one (17910) and ordered it, been holding off taking the carbs off for a bit so I could fit it all in one go and hopefully be off and back on it less than 20 minutes. They sent me a throttle closing cable, so pretty annoyed about that.
NC23 needs new front wheel bearings as they are wrecked, bought some from a bearing supplier who assured me they're correct for the NC23 front wheel (60042RS) but gave me 63032RS bearings

I asked them 3 times in the shop whether 6303s were right as they were the same as on my CG I think, and they said they were. I've had them sat in my shed for a while, just until I got a proper free afternoon to do them and swap the forks round, so can't even return them as I've had them since before christmas and have lost the damn receipt
All this along with a load of other crap going on atm (being taken advantage of at work, dad's g/f is pregnant so I won't be getting my own room any time soon etc) is really starting to get me down a bit, so really hoping everything with at least one bike is going to just click into place soon enough

Ive got a pair of spare cables i can send you if it'll help, they aint new but they might get you by??? let me know & i'll put them in the post today. Keep your chin mate, it'll be ok.
