Chris.
finally got round to uploading.
the ass is sitting very high as the eye to eye measurements went from 290 to 330mm, yes the air intake doesn't fit snug!

loooking from the inside, didnt know if its the done/right thing but shock is upside down?
Image
both side of the fairing had to be shortened to accommodate wheel, as well as 1 link being removed.

chicken line, who says it gets bigger on a 160. she does drop in a little faster but have hardened up the front also to compensate, but i run a 120/60 front so it went in pretty quick (sometimes a bit too) to start.

I had set up FOX Racing shock from CBR600F2.

No any problems not with fairing, nor with coolant reservoir. My eye to eye measurement is 310-320mm.

Which shock do you use ?

Im guessing the big question is does it handle better? With the back end higher is it stable at higher speeds? Is it that much an improvement on a cbr600 shock? Looks nice though, nice to see a bit of experimentation lol.

have had it upto 100mph, not too bad. i have a damper that im looking at fitting to calm down the front. makes the ride much smoother on the rubbish isle of wight roads and it was hard to pass up £25 inc post after i sent an email to an ended item off of ebay (no bids). it has made the front start lifting on quick acc tho.

Interesting, I'll measure my race shock when I get the bike back as I tend to have the rear quite high on that bike too. Might make a good alternative to getting another standard shock modified.

Missin, I'm not too sure what you mean by
8mm int 10mm ext bushing on the lower and shimmed the top end
don't suppose you have a picture?

on the lower eye the std rr shock takes a 10mm (12mm?) cant remember and the 29 std was smaller. it was a case of getting a mate to machine me up a little tube (bush) to make the eye 'smaller' making sure metal composites/types not different and the 29 std bolt fit nice and snug. the top eye is alright but a very thin shim (same as above but very thin) to bulk out and a little angle grinding (to make horizontal eye narrower) on the top is needed too. cant take pics without taking it all out. did take a few weekends to do as these problems only arise as you sort one out another arose. using an engine hoist is the best as when you come to put it in moving up and down is easier and necessary to align the lower eye bolt through the hole in frame.
