68.3bhp @ 12844rpm and 4.3Kgm (stupid metric torque units) @ 10465rpm.
Sounds impressive, but this was done in January 2002 using an obnoxiously loud exhuast

and I'm not so sure if it is that power stat is applicable now, especially with my more village-friendly

end can!
I would say that the dyno is being very very friendly and is way out of calibration as I have seen full spec race bike barely maiking that kind of power, mine is about that but I have full system, HRC CDI, skimmed and ported head and ram air.

After closer inspection, the measurements were taken at the crank and i reckon it is nowhere near that now.
But to give the bike it's due, it used to mince VFR and RVF400s with little effort on the straights and has about the same straightline speed as my friends ['w' reg] SV650 (as long as the revs are as high as sympathetically possible!).

Would have to agree with tanuki... 68bhp at the rear wheel, if measured on a dyno pro dyno, is very good for a CBR. My race NC29 makes just shy of 69bhp and it pretty much has everything done to it, thats possible... Col

Well my NC29 has 1 million bhp!!!
Seriously though, for the benefit of this thread's subject, if the standard/average bhp at the
rear wheel is/should be in the high 50's then what is the standard/average rating at the
crank for comparison?
