this is what i thought as well but my fingers where burnt once before and so were gareths so i don't trust the valves stopping petrol at the best of times so if the taps leaking it's not going to make things any easier for them,and i think it's just something playing on my mind and if it can be fixed i'll fix it rather than just bury my head in the sand and pretend it's not happening.

i'm going for a scoot on the bike tonight then i'll pop the tank off tomoorow and see what that taps doing, £32 for a rebuild kit is a touch harsh but if it fixxes it than i hope to get another 15odd years outta the tap.

has anyone on the forum bought the rebuild kit or do they know whats all inside it ?

One of my taps leaked as I'm sure you remember. I couldn't get to the bottom of it so just HRC'd it and fitted ram-air and a fuel pump... you know it makes sense LOL

i think this is the contents here.

its a fidgity wee bugger and popping the diaphram thingies into the silver metal thing you need to be careful of not tearing the new one. almost did this myself. they are very soft
