Both David Silver and Elliotts have the NC21 version, talking to the chap at elliotts they have fitted the NC21 version to the NC24 and modified the link pipe so you can still have the high level can.

I found 3 new nc21 collectors for £149 each at my local bike store. Proper honda jobbies to off the shelf, so i may buy one just incase i need one in the future as my collector isnt looking to bad the more i clean it.

I do however need some exhaust clamps and also a gasket set any ideas on who to get em from as i got quoted £33 for 1 bracket and a gasket, that seems a bit steep to me.

I searched for these a while back, David Silver might have a great price but he will never be getting anymore as Honda have stopped making them, I found a company in Holland that had two sets left and they worked out at just under £300 plus carriage!
Thats not strictly true.. Dave Silvers buy NOS parts from anyone that is willing to sell to them (you can even sell them your nos parts)

So if some turn up in a clearance somewhere Dave Silvers might well have them...

The clamp is discontiunued by honda long ago.. difficult to get as the collector.

Gaskets comprise of crush washers that go into the ports of the engine and a piece in the collector.

I'll take a picture of the exhaust parts book for you tomorrow and post it so you can see.

I used parts from local motor factors to assemble mine, cost about £6.00 in total.

The NC21 collector fits fine :-) I think you might need a different link pipe too as the angle of the exit port on the collector might be lower, i'll check in the garage tomorrow I have an NC21 collector knocking around somewhere.

If you could do that i would appreciate it, as im finding it difficult to find any pictures of the NC24 exhaust especially an exploded view.

Once again thanks for all the help i think im going to need it as the more bits i strip off the more knackered parts im finding. I think this project shall be called project ball ache. Although saying that it runs lovely just everything else is shafted.

Fowlers in Bristol is where i found the parts just incase you were wondering and they also had zorst clamps to.

Do you want to sell the NC21 collector if it's still ok? I am getting desparate trying to find one, or do you have any good ideas about how you can repair one - mine has rusted really badly where the link pipe goes in. I don't really know what the rest of it's like as I don't want to move anything else incase that breaks as well - although I realise to replace the collector I willl have to take the engine out and move everything anyway!. If there is a way of perhaps welding a steel pipe between the collector and the link pipe that you know of, I'd be interested in finding out.

Your about a week too late on the NC21 collector as I've sold it.

There not too difficult to repair tbh.

The one I have on the NC24 I cut the ends off and welded some stainless steel onto it, wirebrushed and hi-temp painted the rest of it.

 intersesting nice new pipes, they look a damn site better made than the standard one on mine.
i have been doing a little work on them this couple of weeks. the welds inside, obv poor mig, are terrible its like there are stalegnites on every seem even in the headers ! have a good mind to have two inaccesable seems re-tiged. used white exhaust paint on them, they at least look clean. will 'defo' help the engine to breath....
