That will never happen. 130mph tops. To be honest, there really isn't much point in spending money on trying to increase top speed. If you want to do that, just buy a bigger bike. Top speed isn't what NC30's (or any 400's for that matter) are about.

The HRC ignition module raises the red line to 15600rpm. Its more to stop you hitting the limiter half way roung a corner that any power gains.

the rev counter is also not as accurate as you think.

The G force guys said that a 14.5 indicated was nearly a thousand revs over actual speed.

Nobody I know, or have heard of, has got an NC30 HRC CDI anyways..so nobody running a 16.5k rev limit.

My programmable one shows the revs when you are tweaking it and they are lower then the rev counter..you can remap it so it is accurate though ;)

i thought the hrc cdi revved to 15k? and why would you want to rev to that on a road bike? just alter the gearing if you want to give it more top end, don't risk the bike shitting itself by revving its brains out, plus im sure if you had it on a dyno the power would be dropping off b4 15k

As i said the idea of raising the redline it not for power gains. The clocks are not accurate on any vehicle unless they have been calibrated but it is the only referance i have, so that is wat i use. On this vid you can see the bike rev to 15600rpm (on the clock). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHqjckjrydc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I say it is a HRC cdi as in it you can raise or lower the rev limit or advance and retard the ignition.
