I agree. Its easy to see how something of that size could block the oil ways and the bit in the picture wasn't all of it. The weird thing is I can't tell where it has come from. I have had the cam covers and sump covers of so far and had a look at the clutch cover but no sign of it anywhere. My only thought is that it's been in there for some time or there's a nasty surprise heading my way.
