You can think of it in refinement terms as...

the improvements the NC35 made over the NC30, are what the NC30 improves on compared to the NC21/24.

I don't agree with that to be honest mate.

A 35 is a face lifted 30 and pretty much the same animal.

You would not really say that the rc24 is to the rc30 in the same way? Different animals for different purposes.

Aside from that - I would not turn down a cheap 21 or 24 - they are good bikes.

The NC24 is a sports bike, full on.

I own an NC35 and an NC24 and there both very sporty.

Honda billed the NC24 as a "Super Sports Bike," With sporty styling and superior sports performance.

Trouble is that the goal posts moved. At the time the RC24 was a full on sports bike not a sports tourer, the race version[0] was out there winning until the RC30 and the advent of WSB. The goal posts just moved[1] requiring something more than just a 'hot' version and so the RC30 was born, purely as a homologation race bike.

If you *compare* it to modern bikes then it would be considered a sports tourer as things have moved on but that doesn't mean it's not a sports bike.

The 400's are a different breed all together, inspired by the 750's and trying to be the 'best' of the class rather than designed for world racing like the RC30/45.

Well then I don't agree with you.

When I got my NC35's I compared the partslist for the NC30 and NC30 to figure out which NC30 parts could be used on the NC35.

There are hardly any parts which hasn't been changed. If we don't count in bolts and nuts I'm pretty sure there are many more parts that has been changed than there are parts which hasn't.

But I do agree that the NC30 and NC35 are 'the same kind of bikes' :D
