What i'm saying is, before it was fitted it would reach 193kph (120mph) and with it fitted it would still only reach 120mph!

yeah but this time instead of it reading 193kph this time it is reaching 120kph...both being the same speed but with the converter being fitted its mph instead of kph..........

i can't understand why it would do that at all...makes no sense!!!the restriction should never kick in now at all because the switch is never triggered.

Yeah sorry mate that's it, i'm a bit thick today after last night lol!
It is very strange, it must be some sort of restriction somewhere.

It could be thats all your bike will do.

Due to several possible things.

-Change in gearing
-Poor maintainance (valve clearances / plugs / air filter)
-Other non-standard modifications having a detrimental effect. (airbox in particular)

Do you really need to go faster than circa 120mph anyway?

Any chance we could have those pics posted re where to insert the resistor?
Would like to do this as was mildly miffed when enginge started cutting out at speed!

Here's a pic for those who have not seen the inside of the speedo. Bend the tab (#2) so it doesn't contact the wheel (#1).

so if u have an HRC cdi, this 180kph problem is solved?
u dont need to open ur speedo panel?

correct.........

hrc cdi unit is quite pricey though......easier to fit but the mod mentioned costs sweet f.a!!!!

true...but there are cheap HRC cdi's out there one went for £85 on the forum the other week and they do alot more than just remove the speed restriction
