Re: Ohlins shock
No its an early blade cant remember which year but its not as simple as just bolting it in. I think Kais change the bottom mount and most likely some internals

Re: Ohlins shock
Hi,
I run an ohlins Shock on my race bike, it's an original nc30 ohlins shock as I have gotten the original build sheet from ohlins for it, it's code is HO 0160.
It'll be all the same bits as the fireblade ones but is ready to fit to the nc30 as standard rather then needs to go and be altered.
Length is shown as 307 +12. If anyone wants a copy of the spec sheet let me know and I'll post it up as it shows all the part numbers for the fork bottom and head etc

Re: Ohlins shock
It would be worth your while to talk to your local Ohlins supplier. They will usually custom build you a shock for your application for the same as you'd pay for one "off the shelf". I have a TTX36 in my NC30 which at the time was expensive (Ohlins) but not super expensive. Plus it is longer to compensate for the 17 inch rear wheel on mine. You won't know till you ask...

RickOliver wrote:The stock RC30 shock is actually shorter than the NC30 one. As stated above, the shock that you need is a modified Fireblade unit - KAIS have the spec and will build it for you.
(I don`t know if Timon has the same experience but on my Ohlins they have craftily ground off the original part number from the shock body so you can`t tell which `blade shock it`s based on...)
The RC30 ohlins is listed as 307.5mm +12 so only slightly longer than NC30 not shorter.28hodge wrote:Hi,

Re: Ohlins shock
In my NC30 I had an Honda HRC kit shock and linkage that had been built by a local company for the NC30, I never took measurements or settings from it but it did work really well.

Re: Ohlins shock
Yeah I've just bought an ohlins shock and I think it's an RC30 unit as it's marked HO8066 but trying to find the specs to compare to NC30
