RVF400/NC35 Water Pump O-Ring Question

Unless your local Honda dealership is being deliberately obstructive they should be able to obtain any OE part if you just give them the part number to order it by - might take a couple of weeks to come from Japan but there`s no reason they can`t do it.

Only select HRC dealers can get Honda parts not stocked by American Honda in the US. That shop could have ordered it, but the lead time was too long. That's what makes owning a grey bike in the US such a pain. Often I can order it from a mail-order in GB or Japan quicker and cheaper than it takes the HRC supplier to get it.

How about David Silver Spares USA? The UK-based HQ has ordered Honda parts for me from Japan or Europe no problem.
