you apply gasket sealer to the cut out sections only.

each side there are "u" shaped cutouts. these have sealent in them.

Are you sure? There are no U shaped cutouts on the NC35, I assume they NC30 is the same? (been a while since I set eyes on a 30 engine. The U's are usually found on the straight fours, etc.

Edit - I stand corrected, the manual does indeed recommend A-bond. Still no u-shaped cutouts though. bighug
