just checked and yep ports are 1mm bigger on intake on nc35 :)
I think its the other way round, 1mm smaller on the nc35.
At least thats what I´ve measured on my heads. Always thought there was no difference because I have always been checking on a (broken)ported rvf head, until today, that I actually checked with a standard rvf head.

Interesting! I thought a popular upgrade for 30 owners was 35 carbs?
They wouldn't be upgrading to get less power?
And why would Honda increase inlet diameter yet reduce the carb diameter?
Btw, I'm just looking for a project, not chasing every bhp available!

Just done quick search, didn't mean to stir up hornets nest, the 30:35 argument carries on forever.
I just bought a 35 then another cos I prefer the choices offered by 17 inch tyres!
Rejetted, shimmed, Tyga system and it goes well enough for me, perhaps one day I'll dyno it.
Guys, I gather the motor more or less fits, so I'll look for a blown 30 or 35 to fit the spare into.
Cheers!

youll need to tranplant nc30 pickups into it if you want to use the nc30 loom and tacho / ignition unit.

popular mod on the nc35 racing is nc30 carbs i thought, nc35 cabrs are smoother for town riding where nc30 is more race-bred / choppy in copmaission.

35 carbs are just a improved design and give slightly better midrange driveability imo, jetted correctly will be no less powerful than using 30 carbs on a stock motor.

If you were were to ask rlr to build you a quick motor they would of asked for a rvf motor over a vfr one, says it all really.
