Float height correct set as per manual? And carbs seated 100% correct in their rubbers with no air leak?

Pops and flames from exhaust usually indicates plug leads crossed or coils swapped. Might you have disturbed the HT?

I haven't moved the leads or coils since I changed them months ago, since then the bikes been spot on. I took the plug out earlier today to check spark, all sealed and dealer now though. I think it was just gasses from the WD burning although I'm probably wrong. It was just an occasional pop and bang every 10 seconds or so with cranking over.

The only way you can cross plug leads on these is if you put the front in the rear and vice versa.

The system is wasted spark so the plugs spark in pairs, but only one has fuel in the cylinder to ignite.

Another update. Went back to the bike and tried to get her going one final time. Nothing. Cranks and cranks but never catches and fires up. If I blip the throttle it makes a very loud bang out the exhaust. It's really really annoying me because I've never had a starting up issue before with an NC30! All so bulletproof! It's almost like the kill switch is on (it's not on for reference it is on 'RUN' but just seems like it's not letting it go.

id try a new set of plugs as these are so finicky when it comes to these...just because they spark is no guarentee they will work properly...if you sure the carbs are all good then check coils/plugs/wiring..you havent left any rags in the inlets when you took carbs of!!!(i nearly put my carbs on the other day and l seen the rags!!)

I changed the plugs only a few weeks ago so I'll stick in the old ones when I get the chance, gutted! Hate changing plugs on that bloody bike!

hhmm,try taking plugs out and crank it over to fully clear cylinders..put your old set in that you know were fully working good,..full choke..NO throtlle...check inlet rubbers are good/seated..is your battery good?
