neophist that was well helpful
but couple of questions, soes a 1991 nc30 have fork compression damping? (or is that something else by the caliper?) and rear compression damping (pritty sure it dosnt) and im 100% sure it dosent have ride height adjustment, right?
iv got all my settings now, has anyone got any advise on what to change tho
my current setting are (as set by previous owner)
fork preload 3/7 lines visible
fork rebound 1/14 (click out)
fork compression in all the way
rear preload 10 threads visible (from on top of the lock nut)
rear rebound 1/4 turn (out)
these all seem pritty stiff to me and the previous owner was quick a tall guy who did a couple of track days on it, (he sold it to get a track day bike)
in full gear im 10 1/2 stone
if anyone is a similar weight with a standard setup could they share it so i could try theirs (i know its all down to personal prefrence but id like to try proven setting first before i start playing around)
cheers spike

Thats probably the fork oil drain screw, especially if it's a hex bolt.
Just get a mate and follow the guide, if you read through the whole thing the first 3 pages tell you what each bit does (explaining that rear pre-load usually makes the most noticable different any single adjustment will make)
Page 4 of the guide gives you an idea of how to setup suspension sag by changing the pre-loads, thats what you want to set up first. You'll need somone to help you measure things when you sit on the bike etc
Probably take about half hour. Obv you can't fine tune adjusters that you don't have, but you can set up the others ^_^

Yeah Spike that pretty 'trim'. Mind you Shokrabi must run off the 1 stone per foot rule from the look of him, he therefore weighs not even 6 stone
