yep, you'd have to sand it falt before polishing tho as its is textured, thats why i gave it a miss, + i wanted it to look original but cba now, just want it to look good

I've polished a couple without prior sanding, but you're right, it's cast alloy. A bit of acid or oven cleaner to remove the coating and then an hour or so on a bench grinder with mops does the trick. Although, thankfully I now only have black yokes - gotta keep up with the scene and all

I wouldn't polish a yoke. The last thing you want is to get blinded from a reflection at the wrong time (when is the right time to be blinded while riding?).

Maybe I'm just a short arse, but I never had a problem with my Blade's polished yoke. They're never quite in my field of vision. I guess I always need to ride with a dark visor on my 'summer' bikes though.
