Had a similar problem on my 23 due to the fuel pump being dud. (Replaced the original dud one with a cheap Chinese one) bike was very hard to start, and would cut out when I went more than a few miles. If I left it or fiddled around with it for 20 minutes it would start up again as the fuel had refilled the float bowls in the carbs.

I bypassed the fuel pump and disconnected it, the bike runs fine until you get to the high revs and 90+ MPH for prolonged periods of time. So the odd blip to hit the magical mark is fine but to hold that mark for thirty seconds and she starts to bog down. Waiting for that NOS pump at the right price to turn up! Ofc all on track at these speeds! so won't be going to another track day before getting another pump.

I wouldn't bother buying a complete pump. I rebuilt mine on my 23 track bike. £25 for the pump contacts from wemoto and after 10 mins and a bit of solder a pump that it as good as new.

I wouldn't 100% trust the Chinese copies especially when it's a simple bilge pump

What I didn't mention was the first Chinese I had broke after 3 weeks and was replaced under warranty. Second one lasted about 6 months. I foolishly threw away the original fuel pump, but before I bought a new pump I checked the contacts etc and cleaned them up got it working briefly only to find it was the copper wiring inside creating an open circuit. Shorting out, so had to be replaced.
