07 VFR? No metion of battery voltage at more than 5000 rpm.

I have an '07 VFR, but the bike in question is a '92 NC30. Output is 14.3V at 5K rpm(estimate, of course, the rpm)

14.3v / 5K sounds about right but make sure as the revs rise, the voltage doesn't much exceed that. Mine did - I saw upwards of 20v - and it boiled the battery. No idea how it didn't fry the ignitor box..

Can't help with the rev-counter although D & K Motorcycles have plenty of second hand items on the shelf so may well be worth a call if you have no luck here..

Done! It was the tach. Found a complete instrument panel on Ebay. Located in Japan. Removed the upper side fairings and the nose fairing. The replacement panel was in better shape than the original, almost new, so I installed the complete panel. Fairly easy job. Thanks for all the help guys. Cheers, Robert

Stopped raining long enough so that I could insure the speedo is functional. Glad to report all systems are a go! We have lift off.
