I think its just a standard one that been cut down and rewelded, im hoping it will just take a standard race seat cowl. Still on the look out for a cheap one at the moment though!

Have you just bolted the rear shock straight in? or are you using a GF linkage?

I'm doing exactly the same as you, but haven't got around to trying to bolt the CBR6 shock in.

Good luck, it's looking great so far.

Domski, yeah ive just bolted it in. Its only there until i get an upmarket job anyway.

Well ive now completed my race loom, which i tested with it hanging on the outside of the bike. Just got to do the resistor mod and tidy it up. Ran it up for a minute just to check alls ok with the loom and the new engine which is fitted in the frame. Forgot to take pics of these bits i did but will get some "As is" pics soon.
Once ive sold the 2 spare track bikes i have i will be purchasing a new shock and sorting the forks out.

Chris.

Ok so the rads back on, brakes serviced and on. All wiring in place but not fully tidied yet, everything working as it should.
Just reminded myself what this post was all about and what i was trying to achieve, a track bike on a budget. So even though ive just sold a bike and could spend some of it on trick stuff, the money is needed elsewhere for more important stuff(3 year old daughter etc). So back to reality and start using the things that i have.
