^^^ very true.
I'm a guitarist - and best sound / reliability / ease of repair goes to hand wired point to point valve amplifiers. They are not economically viable to make though. So we all put up with PCB valve amps...

Of course cost will play a part but in terms of needing a relay, Honda seem to have figured out anything over 70 watts needs a relay.
since the rvf doesnt have an selectable switch its hard to say about he contacts in the start button... if you have seen ones with a burnt out button before then its probably a good idea to add a relay, its not going to do any harm right
