had a look tonight and it does not have the mod......
it is the high beam relay that i thought may have been the low beam relay mod!!!!!
according to the manual the high beam relay for jap imports is to the right of the clocks and the uk spec high beam relay is at the cluster of connectors on the right hand side of the bike........unless i have it mixed up but looking at the pics that is the way it looks.

just take the relay out and see what stops working
