The NC30, NC35 and `RO jackup` bottom links measure 113mm, 109mm and 105mm respectively between centres
The RVF tri link has a needle roller bearing at the point where the shock mounts, the VFR version has a metal/rubber/metal non-articulated bush.
Honda also simplified the manufacturing process for the RVF tri link - all the roller bearings on both versions are 24mm o/d, on the VFR the bearing housings are counterbored and use 17 x 27 x 5 seals, on the RVF the housings are bored straight through and use seals with the same o/d as the bearings (i.e. 17 x 24 x 5).
Converting from VFR to RVF type shock mount bearing is not just a simple `press out/press in` operation - the o/d of the VFR`s bush is only 20mm so after removing it the housing has to be bored (parallel, concentric and accurately!) to 24mm. The needle roller bearing which goes in there is a Honda bespoke 17 x 24 x 17 size, it is not commercially available and costs about £18 from Mr H...

Thanks for the detailed reply Rick,
So if I'm fitting the NC35 linkage to my NC30 so I need the NC35 or 30 tri bit?
