Get the old one apart as its knackered anyway right so you can have a good look at how it works!

the rev-counter is sealed i think, it needs cutting open perhaps.

anyhow.. have a look at how the needeld mooves, the speedo has a spring on it that returnts it, not sure on the rev counter but if you paste some pics up ill show you.
