values do seem to be all over the place as does demand.
Not seen what a recent 3tj SP has made for a while. i was thinking of chucking mine on there with a high reserve to see what demand was like now i managed to drag it out of the lockup and get some pictures.

You want to get it out an ride it more instead; then you wont want to sell it.
Its not like you need the money anyhow !

I have tried and i really just don't like it. i appreciate they have a huge following and lots of people see them as the holy grail of 400's for some reason, but as a road bike on real roads - they are - well certainly not as easy or as good to ride as the V4's that's for sure - and before anyone gets all pissy and defensive - actually try a well sorted example first before dissing the V4's also it's not a brand thing for me either - i do own other Yamaha's too.
I know you can tune the FZR and get huge numbers from them for a short while

but again i have zero interest in that.
it sure is pretty and the quality surprises me too after many years of Yamaha's.
But i know deep down i just wont ride it or even get excited at the prospect of riding it unlike the other bits of kit. maybe if i was 20 years younger.
So it would make sense if i kept it and cashed in when prices go loopy (and i really think they will) or get rid and use the money for a MT07 which really impressed me to be honest.

Life is short. Enjoy it when you want, while you can

Time to move on then ; no sense keeping something you have no affinity with.
Good luck on the sale.

Thats half the fun of the FZR .
Like even with the R6 or even R1 for that matter on the roads they are a bit of a handful compared to the Honda's.
CBR6 or even blade great bike but the planted handling gets a bit boring, the yamaha's light feeling and flightly on the road is the fun with them , not everyones idea of fun but it is fun in a sick way..

I found this the other way round some how, my 3en1 is a lot more stable and less flighty than my nc30, I don't think either is faster really, and infact I recon the fzr is a tiny bit lighter.
If I could ride the FZR I wouldn't be toying about selling it, but now me backs nakered i cant ride it, and don't want to let it go for stupid cheap money, but if the prices are going up I may wait a bit. But I think both the NC30 and the 3en1 will end up going........Which is a shame cos I still love them. But the KLR is mega fun even if its as refined as a lawn mower!!!!
