If I recall correctly, some of the very earliest 899 Blades had a 5/8 m/c fitted as stock, but this was replaced with a 9/16 job after a very short period of production rather than during a model change. ie one of those annoying things where you need the chassis number to know what you need for your bike.

nope - I have the CBR600FX calipers - they are black rather than gold...

Happy to be corrected on the above list, of course!
Confusingly, Honda mark some in metric and some in Imperial. My NC35 has a 14mm front. I'm sure the Blade one I have is marked 5/8.

i am running SP2 calipers on the std master and it works pretty damn well.
to be fair they took some reverse bleeding but work really well now on standard hoses too.
