Just looking into reg/recs but i've got a quick question for anyone who understands the yams part codes.

Mine has 47X-A1 SH569-12

The ones i've seen all have 3TJ-01 SH569-12 stamped on them.

Some of them are 47X-A0, 47X-A2 and 42X-A2.

Question is, do the first 5 digits of the part code matter in any way or is it only the SH569-12 part of the code that defines the item?

Cheers.

47X-A1 SH569-12

47X -A1 =Fitment type and terminal configuration (This is what is known as the "Mars Bar " type fitted originally to loads of 80's/90's Yams.See example)

SH569-12 = SH569 (shunt type rectifier/regulator) -12 =12volt.

Pattern ones are about £22;these have fins on them to aid cooling (heat sink)
They earth via a harness tag through a fixing bolt (make sure its clean)

I believe in your case the terminal configuration is correct (4 male spades.). (3tj owners will confirm )

The above is essentially the same item.

Cheers for clarifying, mines looks exactly the same (connection) but without the heatsink pattern on the top. It's simply just a flat metal case which kinda threw me a little when looking through various plugs.

Thanks again.

Sounds like a 1WG reg rec but it could be from any bike, omebody probably replaced it at some time.

Fit a 3TJ one and it should be fine.

Coincidence or what;just picked up a TDM 850 mk1 today ;and low and behold it has a reg/rec same as the one in the links, fitted.
Strange location though;outside of frame at very front by tank mount.
