LOL! That's fine and handy! Thankfully I've not had any problems with wiring and looms yet, so I've not had to go in there!Stickshift wrote:The haynes is wrong. There is a blue/yellow and yellow/blue, both for the coils, and there is a blue/orange for the oil pressure lamp, but no orange/blue.
Good to know for future reference that, thanks!

Connect it to a 12v ignition on source, but you'll need to solder a 2.2k resistor inline also (only a few pennies from an electrical shop).dinv4 wrote:so.where should I connect the orange/blue from the cdi

Does this mean if you cut that wire your bike will be de-restricted at the clocks and will go to it's top speed? Asking coz i can only do 120mph on my nc and it cuts out with nothing happening, you have to roll the throttle off to 120 to keep it goin.Stickshift wrote:The haynes is wrong. No, you need to put in that 2k2 resistor but then it will be de-restricted.1990nc30 wrote:Does this mean if you cut that wire your bike will be de-restricted at the clocks and will go to it's top speed? Although I'm not 100% sure you really need a resistor as our track bike has just a wire link and runs fine. Best not risk it and to do it with a resistor though.

O.k thanks, how easy is it to fit the resistor and are they cheap to buy?
Cheers.

Yeah I agree, but others tell me it's safer to install a resistor.fastdruid wrote: Although I'm not 100% sure you really need a resistor as our track bike has just a wire link and runs fine. Best not risk it and to do it with a resistor though.

Can you solder and aren't scared to modify your wiring? If so then yes dead easy.1990nc30 wrote:
