Hi again my bike is in bits again!!! , has vvs may know I'm in process of sorting out carb orings but want to see if I have right jets fitted mine being 100s for main ? Second what mpg should you get I'm getting between 44 and 48 but I know bike is overfueling badly , mods on bike are full stainless exhaust , split fire due core leads and caps and a maxx box , then third question is there a step throught guide on breaking these carbs down main bits being tubes that hold jets and white peice in middle of carb that slide lines up with and float heights , what should they be and where do you measure from , any help would be great , thanks sean

The emulsion tube, which I think is what youre referring to? should come out fairly easily. I ripped mine completely apart without a guide. And I know almost nothing about bikes. It's fairly easy. Once the emulsion tubes are out the slide holders (the white piece youre referring to) should come out. I had to press REALLY hard to get mine to budge, but I would suggest not hitting it with anything. Just patience.

Im not sure about float heights, but there is a suggestion here: http://tonysleep.co.uk/info/great-gsxr4 ... ettor-saga

I did what the guide suggested and left them alone. I had to order a whole bunch of parts from Suzuki brand new such as:
The gasket underneath the float holder, complicated lookin thing.
The emulsion tubes because of,
Needles had been rubbing the tubes, so ordered new needles as well
the gaskets for the float bowls and some other things
Total it ran me over 25000yen in parts to refresh the carbs, mainly because of the wear and some green corrosion that was everywhere from the bike sitting so long.

One thing that was odd was the Okinawan guy read the needles as needles and the emulsion tubes as needles as well, not sure what that was about but the kanji looked the same for both items.

Best of luck and I hope you get back on the road soon!

Thanks for reply , I've just come in from the garage in need of help , after replacing orings I have noticed that all float heights look diffrent basically there all over the place and 2 out of 4 are very visibly lower and don't spring back as much , does anyone know the highly they should be as all info I have found is for sp models and I'm unsure if there the same as non sp , also where exactly do you measure from ? Any help would be great now I think I know what is wrong is just 1 step closer to the end of the headache , I HOPE
