Granted they're not honda but the hot cams 7.48 mm shim sets on ebay are good value: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-HOTCAMS- ... dcf&_uhb=1

I've been looking at those, I mentioned them on the other thread due to the huge variation in price. People selling in the UK for £80 plus post, can get from the US for about £55 posted (then £11 VAT if customs interfere). One thing that could possibly be a slight snag is that they are in 0.05 increments, which means the clearances would have to be 0.01 off the limit in order to swap and not put it out of spec the other way, unless they are already shimmed at an intermediate size.

Funny, I just bought a set of HotCams shims for 80 & free next day post (1stmx, great service)

Quite a comprehensive set & more than I'll ever need but it made shimming the vfr750 so much easier - 1 cam out at a time & 1 valve at a time saves lots of headscratching swapping shims here & there!

Should have bought a set years ago, it would have made doing previous bikes soooo much easier - the way I see it, it's an investment for the rest of my (biking, bike spannering) life

I'm very tempted, but until I know what range the current shims are in mine, I'm not sure whether or not to go for a full kit, or just get one of the refill sets. After all, if mine are currently mid to low 2mm range, there's little point in having half a box full of shims that won't ever get used!
