I didn't know that any of these NC13E engines used a position sensor, could be useful if it can be retrofitted to the later engines for the peeps doing EFI conversions.

Thanks Neo, I guess being cast into the head it can't be retrofitted to '30 engines.

Could be valuable for an injected 21 or 24 though...

rg / zg (early setup) 1986
rh / zh (late setup) 1987.

the key is the year of production not the model.

a 87 nc21 400k has the same specs as a 87 nc24.

It is the SAME thing, the MODEL S the year.

They are ALL VFR400R

BUT the last letter is the year

vfr400RG = 86 (NC21)
vfr400RH = 87 (NC21)
vfr400RH-II =87 NC24
vfr400RJ-III = 88 NC24

vfr400R(K) = 1989 NC30
VFR400K(L) = 1990 NC30

See the pattern here... :whistle:

The VFR400K (not VFR400R) is a training school bike and not a VFR400R, it uses a mashup of parts between NC21 and NC24 and even that bike came in two types... a white one and a blue one.
