Yeah i know they will stop me well esp with the brembo mc but i dont want to overbrake the bike , or am i just over worrying?

haha , this cheap trackbike is quickly going up in value , wont be long until im back to square one and worried about trashing it.

Sell them and put normal bolts back in then put the money towards a trackday or your carb bits

As i posted in the exhaust thread , I managed to get a full system on ebay for £85 delivered.

Going by the pics i was thinking it was a mild steel system

As soon as i got home from work tonight , at this point i was thinking i had bought a pile of junk



I bought myself a bench grinder back in July and some cleaning pads but i never used them, so i gave them ago on the rear manifold stubs , there's still a lot of work to get them nice but for half an hours work im proper chuffed.



At this point i noticed some markings on the pipework , any ideas anone?



Now i could be wrong but this pipework looks very similar to my micron that i have , although the markings are different

Finally the end can , in ok condition but i like the outlet , i would assume the bs sticker is an add on





So im quite happy with it , the 4-1 needs some work and one of the front pipes has a small hole but its not much.

The headers look like micron to me, I used to sell them when they were still going as a company the part codes seem consistent with the company although I can't find reference to the actual part code On the net, but I remember similar codes on their systems.
The can is not a micron though, they used to put the sleeve Together with a silicone type baffling on the joints as they realised the pot rivets and metal around the would expand and contract as the pipe got hot.... Sensible really lol

I went to their manufacturing plant in 2001 or around that time and it was amazing, they had machines cutting slices out of straight pipe then doing origami with it to make a set of headers, their own dynos on site and boffins. Everywhere lol
REALLY interesting place, was gutted when they shut.

Spent a bit more time on the system , its coming up well buts its not a 5 min job .

Tbh i dont think i will do to much more to the rear headers as they look quite good and its a track bike not a show bike.



This is the worst part of the system , Does anyone have any recommendations where to get this sorted ? Also one of the front down pipes needs a little work buts is only 2 tiny holes.
Is it likely to be expensive to get this sorted?

The link pipe is badly dented and the 4-1 collector has a few bad areas.




Oh i also got abit carried away on ebay with end cans , I ended up buying these two





Not sure which can will go on this bike but they are both pretty cool

Still waiting on the other bits i have ordered so nothing much to do untill it arrives

That joint looks pretty rotten mate, welding it up might just blow more holes in it. Other than that looks alright mate
