Re: Picture request: Type one NC30
The large honda decal looks straight to me, but I have not seen the correct curved one, only the more curved RC30 decal that I used by mistake.

Re: Picture request: Type one NC30
When i first got them it looked like they where curved because of the ripple in the backing, but ive just got them out again and it doesnt. Thats going to bug me no end when i get them done... Got any OEM ones hidden away somewhere that you might be persuaded to part with?

Why isnt it possible for a vinyl maker to reproduce the curve? seems simples to me or am i missing something?

Re: Picture request: Type one NC30
It is possible, I have them from 2 suppliers for the RC30, but they are too curved.
I have never found the correct NC type.
I used the RC ones as the decal is the same size, but it was not until they were fitted that I realised they were different.
To compound my mistake I had the panels clear laquered, so more difficult to change now, if i find correct ones

Re: Picture request: Type one NC30
I think it would probably be better getting them painted on, wouldnt be cheap but would look much better than ones that dont line up properly.
That or anyone whos got a NOS set hidden away could send them off to be copied as exact as possible.

The painter made a good job and I am sure he can redo it.
Just that it would have been simple to remove/replace it if not laquered.

Re: Picture request: Type one NC30
I have found a decal supplier who will produce the large curved HONDA belly pan decal if I supply a tracing from an original.
I have now done a tracing from original panels and posted off to him. [the left and right side decals have a slightly different curve, by around 2-3mm in the centre]
They should be ready next week, I am awaiting the cost.
He won't advertise as Honda UK are after any one infringing their copyright/patent/logo, [ Honda America also wont allow suppliers to advertise Honda pattern decals]
However, if any one needs them I can pass on his contact details, e mail me a:- arsey30[at]hotmail.com [at] = @

I don't know, but they are after one supplier and asked David Silver who supplies him with decals.
My supplier is just keeping his head down.
