IIRC, the VFR750 stub axle is longer then the NC30/35 one.

As like thunderace says, im sure that the NC30 stub axle is too short to allow for secure fitment of the vfr750 rear, im also unsure about the PCD of the studs of the disc, and locating pins,

Thinking i might see if i can blag a vfr750 rear for cheap ££ and have a look, as if it all comes to nothing then i'll look at the 750 rear RO conversion anyway so it wont be going to waste.

Just interested to know how that configuration works and what it has to offer options wise for swapping wheels.

I'll PM forceV4 and see what mods his axle has had made to allow for fitment.

The curvy 750 wheels are not cheap though...I was looking at one when I raced and thought it cheaper, lighter and more pukka to get an RVF wheel.

No they aint but they are cheaper than an RVF wheel, which seem to go for £200 ish plus post.

Im with you though id rather get another rvf17 wheel, but what im thinking is this.

An RVF rear is only 4.5" wide so a 160/60/17 tyre (Minitwin scrub) gets a bit pinched and loses a bit of the foot print from the tyre. i grant you at my pace i doubt this makes any odds! Where as the 5" vfr750 wheel wont lose that contact patch the same, im happy enough to use an 18 wet tyre as long as they stay available, but would quite like another 17" rear for a set on inters to go on, but to afford to do that i either sell my RVF rear to fund the vfr750 conversion, or see if there was a way of placing a vfr750 rear and rvf rear onto the same hub.

I kinda want to keep the 17"rvf rear so i have the option of running a 17" and keep the overall look of the bike similar, ie wheel design/look.

So I think you know the way to go then and I think you've already made your mind up Full on 17" conversion.

If you really must have the option of using both RVF and VFR750 wheels and it isnt possible on the same axle then just buy another axle, takes 5 minutes to swap them over.

That's pretty much the conclusion I've come to yeah. Just
Sans even investing in an abba stand or remembering to take axle stands with me soni can change out the rear hub at the track.

But the 750 hub is skewed slightly to compensate for the wider wheel, you'd also have to remove the spacer from behind the front sprocket.. For the cost of another rvf rim you could have the 750 kit x2 wheels and a good scrubb,,
The bikes were baught by jacknall "Kevin and Brent Nichols " but we're broken for parts,, the motor for one is currently on the bay "not mine anymore" if anyone is interested, as is the frame etc..

Whilst down buying parts from jacknell a while back he showed me this conversion on a modified nc30 hub it involved relocating the dowels on the hub and machining out the centre of the 750 wheel and retaining the nc30 wheel nut spindle pretty simplistic solution and he said he had used it on his sons race bikes without any issues.

Pretty sure I have the frame from this bike in the hut the fairing brackets look the same as ones in the picture with rubbers for lockstops..
