Do as you think best but the amount of changes you're changing means you won't be able to tell which change made which difference to your next chart.

Yes - appreciate the advice.

However if it rides better after the changes, it wont matter too much unless the AF ratio is still way out when i get it back on the dyno.

I have ordered a set of standard jets (didnt do dynojets anyway) 115 keihins to go back to stock first and take it from there, floats stock, pilot jet stock +1/2 turn and a new filter.

I think the quill is more restrictive than a race can but i dont like it sounding loud tbh.

Your's is a J then? As Ks are 105 standard.

Yes it's a rrj as far as I can establish, frame, engine, but carbs are hard to id

So i did this today and have just been out on the bike.

And before you start, i know you told me not to change everything but...... yes i have changed loads, so i wont know which bit did what on a new dyno run, but it runs 10x better at low revs and its idling really nicely, seems to have more power too and picks up at wide open throttle a lot cleaner.

adjusted all the floats to 7mm, screwed pilots out 3 turns, replaced jets with Keihin 115's, balanced carbs, cleaned carbs, new air filter. Did nothing with the needles so assume they are standard.

Will have too get it on the dyno again one day to see how the AF looks now but I know its running much better at idle, starts a lot easier, the choke works much better and it pulls well - so all in all a good job! Just wish i had done it before bruntingthorpe !!!

I thought you were trying to tune the bike for more power, which is what my previous advice relates to. However now I see you just wanted the bike running right, and so yes giving the carbs a good clean and service and putting everything back to standard is the way to go. You can normally get away without upjetting for just a can but I'd want to check the AFR myself.

Not really interested in more power, just running as it should. It's all standard now anyway carb wise, apart from the pilot scre being an extra 1/2 turn out so I will have to dyno it at some point to make sure it's not lean higher in the rev range.

Did you ever get new Dyno print outs? Any differences?

I replaced my old air filter with a non genuine one, cheep chinese aftermarket copy but after thinking about it not sure if this was the best move.
Just won a brand new genuine one for £21, not as expensive as buying Honda New.

Any one changed their air filter before and noticed any differences?

My bike is in hibernation now. Will get it back on a dyno next yr.
