yeah i dont usually go to car boots but my missus does , one day i decided to go with her , and this guy had loads of old tools and bits an bobs , looked like he was having a garage clear out or summit, anyway i couldnt remember the sizes so went home without , but the missus said he is there every week so luckily went back the next week and got the three i needed plus some other bits like extender bars and and socket adapters all for a tenner :)

I got whole 3/4" drive socket set, upto about 50mm I think, with a bunch of large OE/ring spanners,a concertina type rivet gun, dozen or so circlip pliers and other bits for £50 off ebay. a lot of this stuff is collection only as it's so heavy, so get a good deal on a job lot and you won't pay much

It's handy to have a wheel nut socket, for the top yoke I very carefully used stilsons, the rear hub nut is very tight, I took it into work & used the windy gun :lol:

i'd recommend these for non marking fork preload adjusters and the sort. not marking, even to anodised parts. good, tho not cheap

Well this build has gone from not moving very fast to not moving at all! It makes me v jealous to read the other threads and progress on here.

The fact its not at home isnt helping me but my garage is full with an nc23 and crm250 together with general other accumulated stuff which is stored in there. I had planned to sell the 23 but it didnt happen...whoops.

I have however sourced the following bits now and will pop a few pics up when i get 5 later.
Full oem bodywork and tank (type 3). generally tidy.
Scorpion titanium end can and link pipe.
cut rear exhaust so i didnt have to chop mine (although mine is damaged anyway)
NC35 forks - need new seals and I need everything else to be able to fit them though.
pair of newish ally rads (chinese jobbies)
new headlights, old were damaged in crash.
LH switchgear.

will need a new battery as its not been touched since last year and is exposed to the elements apart from a plastic cover to keep the rain off.

Needs a new chain and sprockets - any advice on whats best? Want it to accelerate, not top end, i dont go quick enough.
Prob need fittings for the fairing but having figured out whats missing yet, have a plastic bag full of bits from when it was crashed.
nc35 Yokes and whatever else I will need? can anyone provide a parts list for the conversion as apart from yokes and clipons and brakes (subject to which ones fit - i will check out the thread on here somehwere for that) I am not sure what else I will need.
Also need the sockets referred to above. I am a lazy sod at a tight git so the ones i managed to find i wont pay for - waiting for some used ones and keep missing out on them. Lets be honest though I am not in a rush.
brake seals so i can overhaul them. rear is stuck on, fronts are binding.

Cant think what else? i want everything together so I can attack it one day soon and dont have to worry about major bits missing.

Overall however I now have a pile of parts, a broken bike and no time to do it!

I've recently changed my sprockets to 14 front and 41 rear and accelerates so quick it gives a major grin whenever I go for a blast
I might have some spare crash bobbins will check....now get a move on spring is just round the corner lol

these are the forks I got off a forum member, just need seals and may get a RO upgrade kit for them too.

type 3 tank, just needs sticking on the bike and one day, filling with fuel!


It will get done soon enough. got the bug for just buying stuff for now, need more money for what i would really like to do though, they just eat cash dont they once you start. I wanted the bike on the road for less than 1k but thats never gonna happen now.
