Re: Track day advice
I havent even booked it yet. I am a scaredy pants.
Holidays and other commitments have meant i just havent had time - also trying to get bike ready and kit together first, now have one piece leathers, new helmet, new gloves - just need to lose a bit of weight so i can fit in the leathers without having a panic attack when the zip goes up ! I have settled on Mallory though so will see what they have a vailable soon.

GET IT BOOKED!
Mallory is really easy to learn, not a great deal of hard braking and Gerrards
So much fun riding around the outside of tricked out 1098's and R1's on an old knocker of a 400, it should be banned!

Re: Track day advice
Well i am just trying to book but apparantly the noise restriction that day is 95db.
I have no idea how loud or quiet my bike is........... its got stainless headers and a quill can on it. Anyone have a guess if I would be ok or direct me to how 0I can check !!?? I dont happen to have a noise tester in my toolbox.
EDIT - with their advice (trackdays) i have decided against it as in their words 95db would be pushing it even with a baffle and if i didnt pass, no refund bla bla bla - need to look for another date but it looks like it wont be my preferred saturday at mallory.

Re: Track day advice
I did a quiet day at Mallory and there was no testing at all....
If you're not sure, get a decibel killer for the end can and fit it in the unlikely event you get pulled.

Re: Track day advice
I have got a dbkiller in the garage somewhere but i dont want to waste £100 if my bike will not get down to 95 and they do test.
Anyone know where i can get the db measured?

Re: Track day advice
If you can ride the bike on the road, take a spanner/allen key and ride it to the trackday and ask them to test it. if it passes jobs a goodun - book the next available day - if not get a different dB killer.
