Like this but with a larger square of wood. One thats ideally a bit larger than the bottom of the sump.
I got an offcut of Oak from my local wood shop for free (I put a couple of quid in their 'tea fund') that was just the right size
Maybe you have something knocking around though, piece of wood from some old furnature etc.
