Now. A choice has to be made.....

Bearing in mind I have 3TJ6 bodywork like this.....

.....but I have black frame and carbon mudguard. So

Black or white wheels????? Cant decide. I'm not to worried about going 100% original of course

That one isn't *my* FZR400 mate. I am however thinking Gloss white is the way to go!

Managed to get mine in the shed today

Managed to get the engine reasonably clean. Brush down with petrol then carb cleaner, brake cleaner and a wipe down got unbelievable amounts of muck off! I think it's ready to go back in now.

Gotta save for the wheels to be done and new tyres now. Putting the loom in. Making a coil 'subloom' to hook up the R1 coils. Finding a good exup manifold. That will keep me occupied!

I just bought one of these for the rear brake - then I wondered if they were legal for road use

Anyone had problems at MOT time with the tube reservoir??? Samco hose kit ordered so I can get the radiator back on over the jubly weekend. Decided to use my original - ever so slightly bent - rad........

*Should* be picking up the rear subframe, peg mounts, heel plates and rear caliper mount from the powder coaters in time for the weekend aswell. Loom will go in too.

Samco hose kit arrived today. Disapointed to find that the water pump to radiator hose is 50-75mm too short, and the hose that goes to the back of the thermostat housing is nothing like the original :x The only good one is the one that goes through the two engine bolts on the right hand side......... oh well.

The absolute cheapest place I could find NGK spark plugs. £16.75 for four inc P&P

Well the front 2/3 of the loom is in and hooked up, rad in. I am hoping the new genuine 3HE clutch cable I have lying around will work ok  Bearings and discs off all wheels. Rear tyre needs taking off. Managed to get a Renthal 44T rear sprocket on clearance from Hein Gericke for £18.50 but it needs a 525 chain. Waiting for some genuine parts to come in like throttle cables, choke lever and petrol tank rear bolt.

Yeah its coming on leaps and bounds but I am going to have to stop :( Very soon it will need the wheels powdercoating white and a new set of Rosso II's. I am looking at about £300!

Well I have a motorcycling holiday coming up very shortly and I need some Euro's for that. Santander - Valencia - Bescanon - Fussen - Gross Glockner - Black forest - Cochem - Home!! Will be a busy 10 days on the bike!

Plugs just arrived, Yamaha parts should be here soon. Rear subframe is back from powdercoaters and on, mudguards in, TCI and relays/fuseboxes in. Would appreciate a pic of someones fusses and relay arrangement to see if I have the wiring in correct! I am going to attack the airbox and inlet stubbs with a paint stripping heat gun to warm them up! They are rock hard!

Still need to get: Lockset, Battery, Clear indicators, tyres, wheel bearings, cycle speedo, right footpeg, oil + air filters, oil, exhaust manifold!

Does anyone know where there is an 07 R6 users manual in PDF form?? It's all well and good having the shock in there but I need to know how to adjust it and what the 'stock' setting are

The heatgun has done the trick with the previously solid mofo inlet stubbs!

One thing that gets me is the stub clips seem to clamp up completely yet dont grip the stub! As if they are for bigger inlet stubs - or have mine shrunk!

Found the R6 manual too with rear shock info.
