At the time I compared the "double bearing" and single bearing side by side. As heat is a problem in Thailand that swung the decision towards the single bearing.

Since then I've been following a thread over on http://www.mvagustauk.net/forum/forum.php regarding earlier F4's with under-engineered rear hubs.

It seems to me that, assuming safety is the over-riding priority (rather than weight, for example), safety would influence the choice of bearing. As it is the NC30 hub is well engineered - there's no "flex" in the hub when the swing-arm hub bolt is tightened, which is part of the problem with the MV Agusta design. Hence the probability of a catastrophic bearing failure is remote given reasonable inspection and maintenance, and no "jet washing".

Of course I could be wrong, and two bearings side by side might be safer than one. But I doubt it, especially in hot or race conditions where lower temps should contribute to lower wear and greater longevity. I'd be interested to hear anyone else's view.

Do you have any part numbers/order codes for these?

I use Simply Bearings for all motorcycle applications. Front wheel SKF bearings are very reasonable.
