I've always heard that a 748 is very similar (riding pos and handling wise) to a NC30, and a good step up from the 30. As you have the closest thing to a 748 CRM, what would be your view on this

I think Paul is right, if you really like the NC then the RC with its extra pull will be all you will ever want.

There are faster in line fours if that is what you like, but I dont, and a standard 30 or 45 is a treat to ride.
If you can tune and modify one then so much the better.

The Ducati v twins are super, but even my 996 SPS with its tremendous motor, would never steer to my liking.

Nah fuck all like, the 916 has serious grunt and not that much more up top. frame is like a girder and unlike any alloy frame bike jap bike you will ride - it seriously is rigid and planted. mine doesnt flick left to right that quickly compared to the RR5, however a set of alloy 5 spokes would help there, but its planted when on its side. being able to use the grunt to fire you out of corners far quicker than you would belive possible if used to jap IL4's
if you like your 30 and 35's but just want some more oomph then a RC is the only thing that will satisfy.

I found my SPS superb the brakes and tremendous mid corner , but the slow steering compared to the RC which I was use too was diffcult to get use to.

My 900SS seems to suite my riding syle, but it is far less blood and thunder than the SPS
